Onam Celebration

pirit of Kerala’s beloved festival to life. The children arrived in beautiful traditional attire, filling the school with vibrant colours and cheerful smiles.

The celebration began with the making of a lovely Pookkalam. Our young students worked together, arranging fresh flowers into bright, beautiful patterns. It was heartwarming to see their teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm as they learned about the cultural importance of floral designs during Onam.

The highlight of the day was the arrival of Maveli, which brought laughter and excitement among the children. They eagerly welcomed him with songs and claps, reminding them of the story of King Mahabali and his golden era of happiness and equality.

Traditional games added fun and energy to the celebration. Children participated in simple and joyful activities like musical chairs, spoon race, lemon-and-spoon, tug of war, and other playful Onam games designed for little ones. Their excitement, sportsmanship, and joy created a lively and festive atmosphere throughout the campus.

A special Onam message was shared, teaching children the values of kindness, sharing, unity, and togetherness, which are the true essence of this festival. The celebration concluded with the distribution of traditional sweets, leaving the children delighted and full of memories.

Our Onam celebration helped the little ones experience Kerala’s culture in the most joyful and meaningful way. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and beautiful moments that they will cherish for a long time.
